History

In the state of Guanajuato, in Mexico, there is a small town called Pueblonuevo. Pueblonuevo was funded by Don Vasco de Quiroga in 1540.

The town is formed by nearly a thousand houses. Pueblonuevo is located at the right margin of the Lerma River. The native people from Pueblonuevo call it “El Pueblito” because it is very small. In fact, Pueblonuevo is the smallest county in Guanajuato. It has an extension of 24.5 square-miles, and its population is about 8,500 people.
